Hublot Arsham Droplet at a glance
The Arsham Droplet was announced by Hublot on June 6, 2024. It is a drop-shaped timepiece you can carry as a pocket watch, wear as a pendant or place on a stand on your desk.
The artist
Daniel Arsham is a contemporary artist known for turning everyday objects into what he calls "future relics": familiar things shown as if they had been dug up centuries from now. For Hublot he reworked one of the oldest watch forms, the pocket watch, as an organic, drop-shaped object.
Design and details
- Open-worked titanium case, 73.2 × 52.6 × 22.5 mm, with rubber bumpers in a custom "Arsham Green".
- Hublot's manufacture Meca-10 movement with a 10-day power reserve.
- Sapphire crystal, 30 m water resistance, 17 O-ring seals and six H-shaped screws, the classic Hublot detail.
- Supplied with two titanium chains (with Hublot's "one-click" attachment) and a titanium and mineral glass table stand.
Edition size and release
Hublot limited the Arsham Droplet to 99 pieces. As a pocket watch, pendant and desk object in one, it was made for art collectors as much as for people who wear watches every day.
Hublot Arsham Droplet on the secondary market
Because the Droplet is sold as a set, completeness matters more than usual. Buyers expect both chains, the table stand, the box and the warranty card. A Droplet without its stand or chains is harder to sell. The green rubber bumpers should be clean and uncracked, and the titanium should not be heavily scratched. Service the Meca-10 movement only at Hublot, so the history stays documented.
How to check an Arsham Droplet
- Compare the serial and any edition marking on the case with the warranty card. They must match.
- The movement should be the Meca-10, with its 10-day power reserve. A genuine piece runs for many days on a full wind.
- The "one-click" chain attachment should lock firmly. A loose or makeshift ring is a warning sign.
